Aluminum fencingDepending on your needs, aluminum fences are built with two to three horizontal members, or rails, and a pattern of vertical members, or pickets, that are spaced apart by about two inches. By selecting from modest variants of the most basic type, known as "closed-picket," you can tailor your aluminum fence pieces.
Usually, three colors are offered, such as, but not limited to, white, black, and bronze. The metal parts are colored using a process called powder coating, which paints the surface with dry powder and then bakes the parts to create a very tough and beautiful top layer. Of all the aluminum fencing designs, closed-picket fencing is the most common and fundamental. In order to create the closed picket design, each picket is screwed into the top of a bottom channel and then into the bottom of a top-cap and snap system. This style is put together by linearly snapping each post from one section into the post from the next section. The top-cap is then snapped into place on top of each fence line to complete the practically seamless top-cap after the fencing pieces are snapped together. |

Aluminum open Picket Fence
Open-picket fences, as opposed to the conventional closed-picket type, have vertical elements that stick out through the top channel and are topped with ornamental finials. Instead of using a top-cap and snap mechanism, this type of aluminum fence has each picket screwed into the bottom channel and sticking out through holes cut in the top channel. Moreover, the open-picket style posts are elevated above the top channel.
Aluminum Raised post picket fence
This design combines the raised posts of the open picket type with the conventional closed picket style. The picket is screwed into an aluminum channel, which is then screwed into a post on either side, as opposed to sticking out through holes cut in the top channel. In addition to changing picket spacing to suit your needs, you can choose to add a middle rail immediately beneath the top rail. Aluminum Open Picket With Middle Rail Fence
When you put a second rail just beneath the top rail, aluminum open-picket fences can benefit structurally. You may also place accents, such as the well-known circular accent, between the top and middle rails thanks to the middle rail addition. You can even adjust the picket spacing to suit your demands.
